Description:

Angiotensin II (1-4), human is an endogenous peptide synthesized by AT I via angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE). The sequence contains four amino acids and is an angiotensin fragment peptide. Angiotensin II binds to AT II type 1 (AT1) receptors to stimulate GPCRs in vascular smooth muscle cells and increase intracellular Ca2+ levels. Angiotensin II also functions in the Na+/H+ exchanger at the proximal end of the renal tubule.
