Indirubin is an anti-leukemia active ingredient isolated from Indigofera tinctoria L. It is a pair of indole anti-tumor drugs. It can inhibit a variety of transplanted animal tumors and destroy leukemia cells. Under the action of this product, the denatured and necrotic cells are mostly swollen and lytic. Experimental studies have found that this product can also enhance the phagocytosis ability of mononuclear macrophage system in animals. This product has no direct effect on protein synthesis, and its inhibition on DNA synthesis is due to the inhibition of DNA polymerase, which affects DNA polymerization.
